Clear your diary – you’re invited to the most swell party of the year as Cole Porter’s High Society arrives in a lavish new production at the Barbican before touring the UK and Ireland. Hot on the heels of Anything Goes and Kiss Me, Kate, this eagerly anticipated revival offers another glorious dose of Golden Age musical escapism.

Helen George (Call the Midwife, The King and I) stars as glamorous socialite Tracy Lord, with Felicity Kendal (Anything Goes, The Good Life) joining the Barbican company. A full-size orchestra performs Porter’s sparkling score, featuring classic songs including ‘Just One of Those Things’, ‘Let’s Misbehave’, ‘I Love Paris’, ‘Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?’, ‘Well, Did You Evah?’, ‘True Love’ and many more.

Following the Barbican season, the musical embarks on a major 20-week UK and Ireland tour – led by Helen George – opening at the Wycombe Swan. With a 28-strong cast, High Society follows Tracy Lord as plans for the society wedding of the year descend into chaos, with old flames reappearing, new suitors vying for attention, and a sharp-eyed tabloid reporter hunting for scandal at the waterfront estate.
