CHICAGO, the “sexiest musical ever” (Metro) is back on tour in 2027!

“Murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery and treachery… all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts.”

So begins the international multi award-winning musical, CHICAGO, which opens its new UK and Ireland tour at New Wimbledon Theatre on 5 February 2027.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO tells the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her lover after he threatens to leave her.

Desperate to avoid conviction, Roxie hires Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer, Billy Flynn, and transforms her crime into a sensational media circus – while competing for headlines with her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly.

Since opening in New York in 1996, CHICAGO has played in 38 countries worldwide, been performed in 13 languages and seen by an estimated 35 million people.

Featuring the iconic songs “All That Jazz”, “Cell Block Tango” and “Razzle Dazzle”, CHICAGO has won six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy, and remains the longest-running American musical in Broadway and West End history.
